I am Cindy Wilcox, an elected member of the School Board for the La Cañada Unified School District.  I am in my second term which  ends in December 2011.

When blogging, I speak for myself only and do not represent the School Board or the School District.

As a Board member, one of my major priorities is to improve the quality of instruction through data collection and review, policy, goals, and budgets.  In this blog I will talk about controversial school issues.

Next Election:  November 2011
I encourage you to talk with School Board members to hear about their views and how they voted on various issues.  If an election is coming up, ask challengers how they would vote on the same issues.

In my opinion, the District has a small number of under performing teachers.  However, this site will not name names, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you can quit reading now.
